With a fantastic coastline there are lots of opportunities to take part in sailing and watersports and in fact in 2010 the British KiteSurfing Championships will take place at Ayr Beach as part of the Sportember event.
Why not take a trip on The Waverley, the last sea going paddle steamer in the world or take a leisurely sail around Ailsa Craig. Enjoy lunch overlooking Troon Marina or catch a tranquil moment at Dunure harbour whilst watching the world go by.
