Ayrshire is the home of open golf and this year marks the 150th anniversary of when it all began here in Prestwick. Boasting two out of five of Scotland’s open championship venues, Turnberry and Royal Troon, you can be sure of a golfer’s welcome as you enjoy world class golf throughout Ayrshire including links, public and parkland courses.

A number of popular gents, ladies and junior golf events take place every year offering a flavour of the courses at a reduction of the normal green fees. Come along and join visitors and local golfers in the sport, the competition, the camaradeie and maybe even the prize winning! 2010 also sees the 50th anniversary of Troon Golf Week so make sure you secure your place.
